History is set to repeat itself as Shareef O’Neal is gearing towards becoming his father, Shaquille O’Neal’s modern version. Shareef plays as a power forward on his high school basketball team. His amazing playing skills have earned him numerous scholarship offers from various universities with the best basketball programs like UCLA, Georgetown, Baylor and UCLA.
Shaquille is a retired NBA player with a stunning portfolio that includes three Finals MVP Awards and three NBA All-Defensive Team selections. With his son’s current performance in basketball, we have no doubt that Shareef will steal the spotlight in no time. Did we mention that he also got his towering height from his father? It definitely runs in the genes.
Myla Rose & Charlene Riva Federer
Roger Federer is currently ranked no. 7 worldwide in men’s singles tennis. His versatility in playing tennis and amazing footwork earned him 20 Grand Slam singles titles. He married former professional tennis player, Miroslava Federer, and had their identical twin girls, Myla Rose and Charlene Rivka, in 2009.
The couple’s second set of twins, this time boys, were born in May 2014. Federer said in an interview that he will not push any of his children into playing tennis, and instead he will let them choose and play any sport they truly like. These adorable kids are so lucky for having a superstar and kind dad. And we kinda think it’s an achievement in and of itself to have not one but two sets of identical twins!
Jerry Rice Jr.
Apparently, Jerry Rice Jr. is the son of Jerry Rice, a former NFL wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. Jerry Rice played for 20 seasons and holds accolades like being ranked 2nd in “Football’s 100 Greatest Players” and the “Greatest Player in NFL History.”
Jerry Rice senior’s 25-year-old son with former wife, Jacqueline Mitchell, Jerry Rice Jr., is a graduate of UCLA and was eligible to play immediately after transferring to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also played as a wide receiver for the Rebels and was signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
Brooke Hogan
Brooke Ellen Bollea, better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, is a television star and singer. She starred in the reality series, Brooke Knows Best, that followed the ups and downs of her life. Her single, “About Us,” has reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Hogan is the daughter of retired professional wrestler, Hulk Hogan. He was dubbed as “the most recognized wrestling star worldwide and the most popular wrestler of the 1980s." Hogan is also a famous TV personality and musician. He has starred in various films and television shows such as No Holds Barred, Mr. Nanny, and Hogan Knows Best, among others.
Kiyan Anthony
Kiyan Anthony is the only child of NBA player, Carmelo Anthony, and actress, La La Anthony. Carmelo, a small forward for the Houston Rockets is a famed athlete with an impressive recognition as a 9-time NBA All-Star. 12-year-old Kiyan seems set to follow his father’s legacy in basketball as he is actively engaged in the New York Gauchos basketball program in New York City.
Kiyan also appeared in a Jordan-brand sneaker commercial alongside his famous father. Now, we have a mini-version of Carmelo and we’re holding out hope for him to become a brand new basketball superstar in no time. Indeed, these skills run in the blood. There’s no denying that.
