Prince started out as a singer in his hometown of Minneapolis, where he was famous for his unique voice. He was a strange man with many interests. Little do people know he struggled as a child with his seizures. He grew up to be an incredible musician, and it shows in his roots.
Kim Basinger was drawn by him so much so that they moved in together in his hometown. This didn’t please her family, who showed up at the couple’s home in Minneapolis to bring Kim home. Even though their love didn’t last, they mentioned that they were both very civil about the breakup.
Joseph Philippe Lemercier Laroche and Juliette Lafargue
When you think back to the movie Titanic, the ending is a tragic one. Unfortunately, Joseph Philippe Lemercier Laroche and Juliette Lafargue were aboard the Titanic after they decided to flee from France in the early 1900s. They vacated France since the country wasn't accepting of their relationship and decided to visit Joseph's family in Haiti, where they would be more accepted.
We all know how the story ends with the Titanic, and luckily Juliette was able to make it out with their kids. Joseph, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky, but their journey for freedom will always be remembered.
Tina Turner and Erwin Bach
Tina Turner was an icon for voice and the films she starred in. It comes as no surprise that she would end up with German producer Erwin Bach. They dated for only a few months until they decided to tie the knot since their chemistry was spot on. Bach was sent by his record agency to fetch Turner from the airport, and the pair hit it iff immediately.
Tina emerged from a difficult previous relationship where she got out of it with mental scars and all. She was much happier with her last husband, and after they married, and moved to Switzerland until her last days in 2023.
Paula Abdul and Arsenio Hall
American Idol judge Paula Abdul dated Arsenio Hall, who had his very own show. The two lived lives immersed in the entertainment industry, and they even met on the set of a movie. "Coming to America" was a classic Eddie Murphy comedy, and the two met there and were immediately inseparable.
Even though the pair didn't last, Arsenio mentions how he only has fond memories of Paula. They ended things on a good note and remained friends, so much so that he even had her on his show post-break-up. To the best of our knowledge, their relationship didn't ruffle anyone's feathers, which is an encouraging first on our list.
Donna Summer and Bruce Sudano
Sudano grew up in a family surrounded by artists and bands, and he wrote music for some of the biggest names in the industry. Donna and Sudano were a perfect fit since they both loved music and even co-wrote songs together. Collaborating with his wife was one of the best times of Sudano's life, and the two had a grand time touring.
Eventually, they wanted to settle down, and they had two beautiful children together. Sudano ended up managing his wife Donna, and the two were together happily married until Summer's untimely death in 2012.
