Sam Rockwell leg-split his way into the “Charlie’s Angels” franchise as one of the most memorable villains, Eric Knox. Rockwell played the suave, slick antagonist of the Angels in the 2000 movie while also being the love interest of Dylan Sanders, played by Drew Barrymore.
The actor added to the anthology of iconic “Charlie’s Angels” scenes when he broke out some very unexpected dance moves: swigging from a can of soda, a cigarette dangling, and his shades hiding his glare, the actor let his feet loose before putting his hamstrings to work in a flawless split.
Kim Basinger Then
Taking on her second only acting role, a fresh-faced, twenty-three-year-old Kim Basinger had a spotlight role in a single episode of the first season of "Charlie’s Angels." Basinger played Linda Oliver, who was victimized by a corrupt sheriff.
The episode revolves around the Angels going undercover and rescuing Basinger from the licentious law enforcer and ultimately having Charlie Townsend hire her as part of the team of the secret organization. Ok, the admin team, but it counts! Basinger made an impression on producers, and she was briefly considered to take over the role of Jill Munroe before Cheryl Ladd.
Kim Basinger Now
Kim Basinger would escape television bit roles and become a Hollywood heavyweight. Her platinum blonde locks would grace the leading lady role in several unforgettable films. A vocal and passionate activist, Basinger has used her celebrity credentials to raise awareness of animal rights, has been a spokesperson for a number of organizations, and even helped draft and take to congress an animal protection act.
The 2000s got a bit quiet for Basinger until she played the part of Elena Lincoln in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise. The elusive Basinger has remained behind the scenes since her Fifty Shades appearance.
Sam Rockwell Now
The ever-versatile Sam Rockwell became a regular face throughout the years. While not recognized as the classic leading man, Rockwell has claimed his tinsel town colors as one of the rare character actors of modern cinema.
Rockwell won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 2017’s "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" and then he immediately scooped yet another Academy Award nomination for his role as ex-president George W. Bush in the biopic "Vice." The actor is wholly devoted to his partner, fellow actress Leslie Bibb, and the two have been inseparable since 2007, even though Rockwell vowed never to get married.
Crispin Glover Then
Crispin Glover brought his signature eeriness to the role of Thin Man in the "Charlie’s Angels" movie and sequel. Glover embodied the persona of the mute assassin so well that director Joseph McGinty Nichol gave him free rein to alter the script as he pleased, so much so that Glover removed all of the character’s lines!
Fans mostly remember Thin Man's character for his highly unsettling habit of ripping out handfuls of the Angels hair and sniffing it. Glover Curiously revealed that he took the role in order to fund his private film studio in the Czech Republic.
