Damien “Ice Cat” Roth. If ever there was an ideal name for a villain, then English actor Timothy Dalton certainly scored it when he took on the role in a 1979 episode of “Charlie’s Angels”. Dalton played the cunning, sticky-fingered thief Damien Roth for a single episode that even drew Farrah Fawcett out of “Charlie’s Angels” retirement to make a surprise guest appearance.
The character had a bit of a prophecy as it was described as “James Bondian.” Seven years later, Dalton would famously become the fourth actor to take on the role of James Bond in “The Living Daylights.”
Craig T Nelson Now
Craig T Nelson got himself younger fans after starring as Ezekiel "Zeek" Braverman in the critically acclaimed television series "Parenthood." Nelson would remain steadfast in his role as the affable family man for all six seasons.
Fans with a keen ear would also recognize his distinct, bassy voice as Mr. Incredible in the Pixar smash hit "The Incredibles" and its hit sequel, "Incredibles 2." Nelson has steered away from studio movies and has instead found recurring roles on a number of series such as "Young Sheldon", "Grace and Frankie", and "CSI: NY."
Kim Cattrall Then
British-Canadian actress Kim Cattrall is most famous for her role as Samantha Jones in the HBO comedy-drama series "Sex and the City." Thirty years before Cattrall would reach a worldwide audience, she made an appearance on another seminal television show — "Charlie’s Angels."
Cattrall played Sharon Kellerman, best friend of Angel Kelly Garrett. The Angels land up, saving Cattrall’s character from being assassinated by her lover. Cattrall would spend a number of years working through bit parts in television series, slowly working up to roles in Hollywood megaliths such as "Big Trouble in Little China" and "Bonfire of the Vanities."
Kim Cattrall Now
Actress Kim Cattrall has a varied career between the small and silver screen, but for the last few years has focused her skills mainly on the television industry. She has scooped five awards, including Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe awards for her role as Samantha Jones in "Sex and the City."
After years of living and working in America, Cattrall finally applied for – and received – American citizenship in the year 2020, citing voting rights as the reason for the application. Cattrall can be heard and sometimes seen in 2022's "How I Met Your Father."
Timothy Dalton Now
The role for which Timothy Dalton is most celebrated, the elegant master of espionage James Bond, ended as the actor and the studio wrestled through a five-year lawsuit around his contractual obligations. This would not hamper Dalton’s further acting ambitions, and he was noted throughout the 80s and 90s for his leading man presence.
Dalton's voice has given life to the character Mr. Picklepants in the "Toy Story" franchise. He can also be seen on the small screen in smash hits "Penny Dreadful" and HBO-produced superhero series "Doom Patrol."
