But for a dog to make you happy, they don’t even need to be around. Take, for instance, these hilarious photobombs that are sure to make you smile.
Ruff Him Up
Size doesn’t seem to matter at all to this little doggo, who’s getting ready to duke it out with one three times larger.
Hey, that’s what happens when you make unwanted butt-sniffing advances, buddy. Next time keep it moving!
By the look of things, this pup must have had a long, hard day at work. He spent hours and hours mowing the lawn, and what does he have to show for it?
Hopefully, his human gave him an extra-special (and extra-large) dinner that night. To be honest, he looks like a natural!
Ah, so as it turns out, he not only got his extra-special dinner, but dad decided to take him on a trip to the store to check out some of his favorite stuff – including the Your Dog magazine.
Then, it was off to look at toys and treats. After all, he’s taking the day off tomorrow, and they’re going to the park. Best. Day. Ever.
The Great Flying Fido
It’s a bird, it’s a plane – it’s this doggo leaping through the air to grab her frisbee, thrown just a few inches out of the frame. Well, it’s that, or she’s just really, really excited to be at the park.
It’s possible. Have you ever said the word “park” around a dog who loves the park?
This pretty poodle is ready for her closeup. She got her hair done, her nails done, and is prepared to be featured on the cover of "Dogue" magazine!
She insists you can only catch her from her best angles if she’s perched on something like a stage, hence the trashcan. It works, doesn’t it?
Eyes on the Prize
This pup has been an extra good boy, but he just can’t help but to eye dad’s sandwich. Honestly, we can't blame him, who doesn't love a good sandwich?!
The look on his face says, “Hey, where’s mine?” Hopefully, they saved him a bite or two.
Ears for Years
Well, aside from their killer sense of smell, it’s no wonder this breed of dog makes such a good hunter.
After all, just look at those ears! This pup could hear a twig snap a mile away! He doesn't look too happy about his owner touching his years, though...
Can I Help You?
This pupper is getting pampered more than a lot of humans these days. Just check out the look on her face that says, “You know the drill. Wait until after the blowout, and then we can leave.”
You know her human probably listens, too. After all, she’s one smart pup; just look at the Rubik’s cube on the table.
Better Luck Next Time, Boys
This resting station is designed for the furry, four-legged type of kid. But that wasn’t going to stop these boys who were just as worn out as the huskies all around them.
They must have been keeping it warm for the dog who was missing from his spot. He probably didn’t mind.
Have My Blanket
This adorable pooch can tell that someone needs his favorite blanket more than him. Have you ever been to New York during the wintertime?
The blanket is hardly enough, but since he’s already equipped with a fur coat of his own, he’s willing to part with it temporarily for mom’s sake.
Do Not Eat Sign
This dog was caught off guard by this sign of sausages that are bigger than his head. He looks like he’s ready to try and chew through the plastic.
Maybe mom broke down and bought some so he could have some of his own.
These dogs were on their way to the groomer when they broke free and took off running. They like their long locks, and they hate the sound of those electrical clippers.
Do you blame them? If you saw the picture from after the trim, you wouldn’t even recognize them.
Do you know how most dogs jump up and down and get all excited when you ask them if they want to go for a walk? This guy's not one of them.
This guy would rather be one of those dogs whose owner puts them in a baby stroller and pushes them around town. He’s not afraid to show it, either.
Just Got Paid
This dog just got his check from his most recent photoshoot – so his owner took him out on the town for a shopping spree.
Seriously, though – while we can appreciate something on his paws for hot pavement, those things must be hard for a dog to walk in. He doesn’t look too unhappy, though.
Unfortunately, there are more than 200 million stray dogs around the world, and this little guy is one of them.
Luckily, he found himself a nice, warm place to snuggle up to keep warm. Many of them aren’t so lucky…
This little lady is all decked out and ready to strut her stuff during this Pride month parade. Dad got a little pink look-a-like version of her, too.
The only thing that could make this any cuter is if there were more dogs with colored tails on both of her sides.
What’s Up, Bro?
These two mutts live around the corner from each other, and they sort of have this unspoken rivalry that’s been going on for years.
Every time they run into one another while they’re out for their walks, they do this stare-down dance. “Hey, there isn’t that much grass in this city, bro, find your own piece to pee on.”
Zoom With a View
This dog is out, living his best life, playing fetch with mom in the open air with a great view. The only thing that could make this pup any happier is his favorite bacon flavored treats.
The only thing he’s thinking in this particular moment is, “must catch the ball!” What a picture-perfect moment!
Fun in the Fountain?
When this woman bought her apartment in this area, it was winter, so her dog didn’t meet these water jets until several months after. When he did, he went nuts. It’s been a while now, and he still can’t help but charge teeth-first into the water whenever he sees it.
Unfortunately for mom, that generally means walking home in soaked clothes. She knows to keep a spare change of clothes in her bag now.
All of the Toughness
Oh, these little boys are just way too adorable. They’d like to think that they’re big and tough - and surprisingly enough, they do. Just look at those smug mugs.
Don’t mess with these doggies, at least, not with exposed ankles. Watch your step, or they will get you!
This curious little pup unintentionally gave itself a super noticeable makeover. She was sick and tired of her one black spot - she wanted her body to match.
So she did the only thing she could do - she climbed into mom and dad’s charcoal and decided to roll around and cover herself in the stuff. Check out the guilty puppy eyes.
How did this dog even manage to wind up in this situation? It seems like it would’ve taken a lot of work to get his head through the hanger.
Or, maybe someone did it just for the photo op? Either way, she doesn’t seem too phased by the addition to her collar.
Not Me, Couldn’t Be
This pooch is quite the troublemaker who’s always getting himself into things. Mom and dad know when he’s to blame because of his signature look of guilt.
“What mess? I don’t see anything.” This "guilt look" is too cute to ever get mad at, if we were this doggo's owners, we would probably let them get away with anything!
This puppy loved to chase and chew at bees – that is, until the day when he discovered why it’s such a bad idea. He caught one, but it turns out that he didn’t like what he found.
Let’s hope he’s smart enough to avoid making the same mistake in the future! Though we have to admit, this allergic reaction is pretty darn cute!
These two pups are the best of friends, and you know how it is when one of your friends is a hugger.
The husky looks a little surprised to see his Pitbull friend today – maybe it’s because he came flying in from the side of him to say “hi.”
Although some pets hate going to the vet – or hearing the word vet – this little girl isn’t one of them.
In fact, it’s one of her favorite things to do. Just look at that satisfied smile. Maybe it's because she knows that after this is all over, she'll receive her favorite post-vet treat!
Help, I’m Stuck!
This poor pup looks sad and confused when someone halts him by tugging on his leash. He can’t understand why he’s not able to keep moving. That is until he finally turns around and discovers that it’s him holding himself in place.
Hey, at least he made the connection. Some dogs probably would’ve been stuck a lot longer.
The Best Kind of Photobomb
Okay, there are photobombs of all shapes, sizes, and sorts. There are your intentional photobombs, your average photobombs, and then, there are your perfect photobombs that happen due to a beautiful moment of chaos that gets caught on camera.
And, that last one is exactly what we’ve got here. Did someone say, "deer in headlights," or dare we say, "dog in headlights?!"
You’ll Never Take Me Alive
You know how we said some pets hate going to the vet? This guy’s one of them. Maybe the word "hate" is somewhat of an understatement.
The only place he likes to go in the car is to the park – and that was the other direction, Greg. Now that he knows what the future holds, he’s not very happy.
There’s nothing this pup loves more in life than his favorite snack: Cheez-its. So, when the box is almost gone, dad takes the plastic out and puts a few crackers at the bottom for him.
Needless to say, it keeps Fido entertained for a good while. At some point, he gets tired and then needs his owners to help him out of the box, literally.
We're not sure if there's such a thing as "dog awards," but if there is, this guy deserves the award for the most talented eater. As you can see, he only likes a specific kibble, so he picked them out and then left the rest.
As if that wasn't enough, this sassy pup finished his meal and then stared down his owner in disgust, as if to say, "Is this what you think I'm worth?"
Selfie and a Slurp
How long do you think it took this woman to notice her dog taking a sip out of the toilet in the background of her selfie?
Sure, it’s a nice shot, but her pup takes it to the next level with this hilarious photobomb. Maybe it’s time to start leaving the lid of the toilet down, though.
Okay, how does something like this even happen? We understand that dogs do have a lot of time in the house to figure out how to do crazy stuff like this, but still, this is a bit much...
She has either been practicing nonstop or did something like take a running start, slid down the railing, and landed this way accidentally. Hopefully, she got down safely!
Some dogs get severe separation anxiety when their humans lave them home alone. And, when a dog gets bored or anxious, they tend to destroy stuff to show it – in this case, the remote.
The pooch doesn’t look like he fees too guilty about it. He seems pretty proud...and like he's about to throw up.
Who knows how some of these things even wind up happening? Just check out how this little girl somehow got herself all tangled up in the blinds.
Now, she’s wearing them like a hula skirt. Luckily, her owner snapped a photo to share before (assumingly) helping her out of the mess.
This photo is actually a still from an all-new HGTV home renovations show. The main character teams up with different dogs who help them destroy rooms before renovating or upgrading them.
Just kidding, this dog was just a very, very bad boy. He must have had a blast, standing on his hind legs to tear the wallpaper down and everything. Yikes!
Saying Hi to Pluto
This service dog had the day of his life when dad took him along on the family vacation to Disney World.
He’ll cherish all of those smells forever. He even got to meet his ultimate dog idol – Pluto.
Will Dance for Dog…Hotdog
It’s pretty hard to find food groups that dogs don’t like. That’s especially true when it comes to meats and bread - but especially meats.
Just look at how excited this pup is to see that he’s getting his very own hotdog. Come to papa!
This doggy’s mom or dad definitely has some skills when it comes to taking pictures.
It's either that, or they got fortunate to snap this shot of their little Dachshund in mid-jump. We can't help but wonder how long it took to perfect this! What a perfect action photo!
If you’ve had the pleasure of living with dogs, you know how adorable it is when you catch them while they’re asleep, and their paws are twitching from their dreams.
We can’t be sure of what it is our furry four-legged family members see when they’re sleeping, but we guess it’s probably about playing fetch with their humans or chowing down on something beefy.
Well, it must be hard to have fluffy white fur all around your mouth while you eat. You’re bound to get all kinds of stuff stuck in it – just like this little furball did.
At least there’s no question when it comes to mom solving the mystery of who ate all of her raspberry icecream!
This dog is getting ready to walk down the aisle in her mom’s wedding. Yep, meet the cutest flower girl you’ve ever seen.
They still decided to deck her out with this little flower crown to add some extra “aww.”
No Pictures, Please
The last thing this dog wants right now is for her humans to be in her face taking photos of her. That’s because this good girl just delivered a litter of puppies, and now she’s trying to relax and feel better.
Look at that face that just screams, “leave me alone!” We wish there were another snap of her newborn cuties!
At the End of the Walk
This pup loves to go on long walks with her human. There’s just one problem: her human likes to run. She tries to keep up for as long as she can, but eventually, she just ends up like this.
She would prefer to spend her time hanging out at the dog park instead. Maybe it’s time to consider solo running?
This Akita looks like she’s either just had the best belly rub of her life, or she’s heard the best joke. In either case, she just looks absolutely ecstatic.
We wonder what has her on cloud nine? If only all pups and humans could be so happy.
Romancing the Bone
This little bulldog looks like she’s having sweet thoughts of romance while stiffing this flower. How lucky that someone was there to catch the shot.
If we had the next picture, though, we’d probably see her chomping into it. And the next one would likely be mom pulling the flower out of her mouth.
All the Fluff
This pooch had to have just come from a day at the groomers. Just look at that fluffy mane. That doesn’t just happen, after all.
His expression says that he knows he’s just the most adorable thing on earth, too. They usually do, don’t they?
The Sweetest Siblings
Speaking of the most adorable things on the planet, this sibling duo is living their best lives. They’re both super spoiled and probably eat better than a large percentage of people alive in the world at this very moment.
And, they’re better groomed. We're guessing they have different hairstyles to differentiate between them - considering they have the same exact expression on their faces!
On the Move
Dogs have very few pleasures in life, but they’re just so happy with the things they do have, one of which being walking outside. This little guy wasn’t able to move around on his own until his owners created this special contraption for him.
Now, he goes everywhere with them, and running around playing fetch is his favorite thing in the world!
As it turns out, (hu)man’s best friend can be trained to do just about anything – pressing your shirts. No, just kidding, but it does make for a cute photo op, doesn’t it?
Plus, you’d have to use a fur-roller or something afterward to get the golden hairs off of your dress shirts before wearing them. Aw, well, even though he couldn’t quite figure out how to plug the iron in, at least he was just trying to be helpful.
This adorable pooch has a talent that not all dogs do…okay, not many other dogs do; she can balance foods on her head. They started with things like hot dogs and pieces of bread, but she’d just tilt her head back and eat them right away.
With things like watermelon, she doesn’t care quite so much. That has to be pretty heavy on her head, though. What a good girl!
Next time you require a babysitter, there’s no need to call in any humans that you’ll need to pay. Why not just ask this dog? He’s obviously great with babies.
Just look at how quick he was to jump into action when it was time to bottle-feed this baby sheep? All jokes aside, that is a seriously adorable shot!
Smiling From Ear to Ear
It’s hard to tell when dogs are having a bad day. They probably don’t have many as long as their humans take care of their basic needs, and make sure they’re fed and taken out and get to go exercise, etc.
Plus, as long as they get to spend enough time with their people. But when we’re having a bad day, they’re always around to cheer us up by letting us do silly stuff like this.
Humans aren’t the only animals to benefit from the company of other “support” animals. This baby cheetah was having a hard time adjusting to its new home after his family rejected him.
The zoo where he was living decided to put this puppy in to keep him company. The result? They became the best of friends who spend every minute by each other’s side.
