Musician Lenny Kravitz bought the lease of an island in the Eleuthera archipelago in the Bahamas, where his mother was from. While on his visits to his home on Eleuthera, he lives a simple life, peaceful and quiet.
Consider Lenny Kravitz’s private island in the Bahamas, the perfect mix of mountains and beaches. While his place in the Eleuthera archipelago reportedly boasts a recording studio, there are rumors that he prefers to sleep in a trailer there, not a tropical mansion.
Tyler Perry
The producer, writer, and actor we all know as Tyler Perry purchased the White Bay Cay in The Exuma Cays in the Bahama. The island was the 40th-birthday gift that he bought for himself!
The mastermind behind Madea took pilot lessons so he could fly his private plane to the island.
Nicolas Cage
Cage has gone through great lengths for all the roles he has played in his career, but in 2006, he went as far as buying a deserted island in the Exuma archipelago.
Cage's island was renamed "Leaf Cay," and the private 40-acre-plus undeveloped island is around 85 miles south of Nassau, close to the Bahamas.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
The power couple made their own slice of heaven on a private isle. They bought the 20-acre island, called "L'ile de Agnes," in 2006. Located near the Bahamas, their getaway features a four-bedroom home that they built from scratch (with the help of designers and architects, of course.)
They also had to build all the infrastructure, like electricity and running water, before they could make their 15,000 square foot vacation home on the island.
David Copperfield
The superstar magician David Copperfield has also decided to invest in his own private island; in fact, he bought 11 islands in the Bahamas! As it turns out, his plan was to rent out his resort to other wealthy vacationers.
He spent $50 million on remodeling the islands to accommodate other famous people, like Johnny Depp, Oprah Winfrey, and John Travolta.
